Mariner's regular Comics:
(in no particular order)
'It's Walky' was a lot better as 'Roomies', but some of the cast members carried over. Still not as good, though.
If The Marx Brothers worked with Asimov, I'm betting Freefall would be the result. I read a lot of online comics. Sabrina Has been high atop my list for nearly three years. It was the first comic to reveal to me that Internet comics are so far superior to regular newspaper comics, without the expense and hassle of Comic Books. Kudos to Eric Schwartz for keeping the story interesting all these years. Though not a furry comic, very funny and true to life. Hence the title.
Gene's story could be considered very controversial. I like to consider it very innovative. A lot of people would criticize it, but I think I like it that way.
The zaniness and complexity of the story makes up for any artistic flaws it may have had in the beginning, and the art has more than caught up by now.
Funny Farm has an appeal that I can't really put a finger on. I started reading this just after the CRFH crossover, and got hooked. The story isn't overly complex and the art not fantastic, but something about it keeps me reading every day.
Holy Hell... 'Jack' Took my breath away. I spent three nights (that I should have been sleeping) reading through the past year's worth of archives, and I still wanted more. Nearly every scene has a power, be it shocking from it's visual effect, or so emotional that you laugh and cry with the characters as you see them live (or die) their lives (or afterlives). This is the real reason I switched to Internet-based comics. This shows everyone else what can be done with the right mixture of appealing artwork and intensity. 'Jack' is in, armed with a full heart and a double-sided axe. No doubts, my favorite to date. Read it now, or you may not live to see what happens.
Any comic that slaps organized religion in the face as many times as Sinfest does gets a thumbs up in my books. The bad side is the handful of slurs that get tossed out.
Dela the Hooda would be a lot cooler if a few hours were spent updating the code so you could easily flip through the comics, but otherwise no complaints.
Ozy and Millie have the world figured out... if only they weren't trapped in elementary school.
The epic that is.. Sluggy Freelance. Being a sluggy newbie, I absorbed it all across like three straight days of reading the archives. I think my brain went numb. I'm a big fan of Kiki.. reminds me of a ferret that used to live here.
Though Dave Kelly's 'Living in Greytown' was much more dark and real, 'Lizard' is still pretty enjoyable for being a spinoff.
Albion Fuzz has been one of those comics that I wasn't really sure about until I had read a lot of it. I must admit that it has grown on me, and is probably in my top 5.
Lacunae is a very much a dark and gothic comic about a world in chaos and disorder, and hidden creatures that devour one and other. I'm not sure I understand it, but I like it.
A strange comic about a rabbit and a candian goose. Funny in it's own way. No doubt about it. Rigatoni is THE strangest comic I've ever seen. It makes no sense, but is so odd and artistic in it's own way I can't wait for the next update. (which is almost as irregular as the comic itself)
Shameless Self-Promotion. Yes, I actually read and enjoy my own comic. In case you haven't read it, it's about this guy.. and this other guy... Oh just go read it!For More comics, check out OnlineComics.net Other Links:
